Ray of Hope in Africa is a program created to aid orphans in Fort Portal, Uganda, by housing countless children who are alone and hungry with no one to care for them. The program is part of Humanitarian Hands Foundation, a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization established in 2006 by Ray and Mary Christopher of Dallas, Texas.
The foundation’s first major project is the, Ray of Hope Children’s Home, in Fort Portal. The facility is designed to house, educate, and nurture children, so they can grow into happy, healthy, productive adults, improving not only their lives, but also their communities.
